1. Get potty for pottery

It’s not a minefield – trust me. It comes down to two things; what fits in the space you have got and what look you want to achieve. Then match your toilet and sink to your bath again, lots of choice but the bottom line is the question ‘what works for you and your family’. Choosing the big things is where the fun begins!

2. Walls and floors

This is where the colour colour colour colour colour chameleon comes out (sorry, I couldn’t resist). When it comes to high-end bathroom design choosing to have tiles on both the walls and floor is keeping up with the trend. There are so many colours, textures and sizes to choose from. It’s like the best jigsaw puzzle you’ll ever do (well, watch the fitter do from afar while you drink your brew). Choosing the right tile can bring your bathroom to life, also, look out for under floor heating, the ultimate in luxury and perfect for saving those toes on a December morning.

3. Accessorise it!

If you have decided on the style, type of shower, tiles, colour scheme etc don’t overlook the finishing touches. The right taps, rails, shelves and even soap dish are the icing on the cake, the pièce de résistance, the fat lady singing, the…well…you get where I am going with this. You can complete your dream look by choosing accessories that match the style of your bathroom as well as being handy.
